Rural Internet Guide welcomes contributions from knowledgeable writers, rural residents, telecommunications professionals, farmers, and remote workers who have real-world experience with rural connectivity. If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.

What We’re Looking For

We publish content that genuinely helps rural Americans make smarter decisions about their internet. Specifically, we’re interested in:

  • First-hand reviews of rural internet providers (Starlink, HughesNet, Viasat, fixed wireless, T-Mobile Home Internet, etc.)
  • State-specific rural internet guides backed by real experience or research
  • Troubleshooting guides written from direct experience
  • Farm and agricultural connectivity solutions
  • Off-grid and remote work connectivity setups
  • Cell signal booster reviews and installation walkthroughs
  • Analysis of government broadband programs and grants

Content Standards

All submitted content must meet the following standards:

  • Original: Not published anywhere else online (we check)
  • Accurate: All claims must be verifiable; include sources for statistics
  • Minimum 1,200 words for guides; 800 words for reviews
  • Well-structured: Use headings, short paragraphs, and bullet points where appropriate
  • No overt self-promotion: You may include one contextual link to your own site in the author bio only
  • No AI-generated content: We require human-written, experience-driven content

Topics We Do NOT Accept

  • Content promoting specific companies without independent review
  • Generic how-to posts not grounded in rural-specific experience
  • Content already widely covered with no new angle or data
  • Anything unrelated to rural internet and connectivity

What You Get

  • A published author bio with photo and link
  • Exposure to our growing audience of rural American readers
  • Editorial feedback to strengthen your article

We currently do not offer paid compensation for guest posts, but we are actively growing and may offer paid opportunities in future.
